Criteria for Association with technical Committees and Participation in Working Groups at Technical Assembly
The Telecommunication Technology Committee
Association with Technical Committees and participation in Working Groups at the Technical Assembly shall be in accordance with the criteria as stated below.
Though the correspondence of the number of units of the membership fee to the number of the Technical Committees each member is qualified to associates with is set forth taking account of the correlation between activities and expenses of the Technical Committees and Working Groups, and other factors, yet it is contingent on understanding and cooperation of members.
- In the event that a full member desires to participate in a Working Group, the Working Group shall, in principle, elect its members by taking the following relations into account, according to the number of the Technical Committees with which the full member associates (excluding association with the Strategic Research and Planning Committee, if any, hereinafter referred to as the "Number of associated-with Technical Committees"):

Any excess of the number of units of the membership fee over the required number corresponding to the Number of associated-with Technical Committees shall be cut off at the request of the member. - So as not to exceed substantially the fixed number of constituents of Working Groups (30 or less in principle) as set forth in Article 18, Paragraph 8 of the Subsidiary Rules for the Technical Assembly, contribution of each member to the activities of the Working Group, such as record of attendance, etc., shall be taken into account in electing the members.
- Constituents of Working Groups may be elected separately if the Chairman of the Technical Assembly or a Chairman of a Technical Committee deems it necessary.
